About “Rain”
Rain is a symbol in scripture of God’s mercy - He causes it to “rain on the just and unjust alike,” giving nourishment and healing to the land, because He is kind and good - giving good things that we don’t deserve, and withholding consequences that we do deserve. It is also used as a prophetic symbol of the outpouring, provisioning, or empowering of God’s Spirit to enable us to fulfill His purpose and glorify His name. Jesus said that he would cause “rivers of living water” to flow from the believer to nourish and heal.
CollECtive Arts invites you and anyone you wish to refresh, to experience an event that will increase your desire to invite God’s leadership and empowerment to live for today. The program will include spoken word pieces from our community that reflect on the theme of “rain.” Also CollECtive Jam will present two songs that the auditioned bands co-wrote and recorded together. CollECtive Dance will muster it’s 5-18 year olds in movement that magnifies God, accompanied by the CollECtive Choir and CollECtive Choir band. Audience members are encouraged to participate and sing along with the catchy choruses and encouraging truths. A reception will follow the concert featuring the music of Brady John, a CollECtive Jam student who is releasing a full-length original album this summer. Donations are welcome. Doors open at 3:30.
Saturday, March 28th; 4:00-5:30pm @ Calvary Baptist Church in Eau Claire. 3036 Epiphany Ln, Eau Claire, WI 54703
